Job Description
Ordinary Seaman (O/S)
Ordinary Seaman assists the deck department in daily operational tasks under the supervision of senior crew members. Responsibilities include cleaning duties, maintenance work, painting, mooring assistance, and helping during cargo operations. This position is suitable for junior seafarers who want to gain onboard experience and develop their maritime careers.
Able Seaman (A/B)
Able Seaman plays an important role in deck operations onboard. Duties include steering the vessel during watchkeeping, maintaining deck equipment, handling mooring operations, assisting cargo activities, and supporting safety drills. Candidates should have good seamanship skills and previous sailing experience.
Cook
Cook is responsible for preparing meals for all crew members onboard while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. Daily duties include meal planning, kitchen cleaning, inventory control, and ensuring sufficient food supplies during voyages. A good ship cook must be organized, clean, and capable of preparing meals for multinational crews.
Bosun
Bosun supervises deck ratings and coordinates maintenance work onboard. Responsibilities include assigning deck tasks, monitoring cleaning and painting activities, preparing mooring equipment, and assisting deck officers during operations.
