Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and regularly update nautical charts, publications, and navigational records.
- Operate and monitor essential navigational equipment such as radar systems, GPS, and ECDIS.
- Ensure that all navigation-related documentation is accurate and properly recorded.
- Assist the Chief Officer during cargo loading and unloading operations, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with procedures.
- Support the implementation of safety management systems onboard.
- Participate actively in emergency drills and ensure readiness of all safety equipment.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime standards such as SOLAS and MARPOL.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust navigation plans when necessary to ensure vessel safety.
The role requires strong situational awareness and the ability to respond effectively under pressure, particularly during challenging sea conditions or busy port operations.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience serving as a Second Officer or in a similar rank.
- Previous experience onboard a General Cargo Vessel is considered an advantage.
- Possession of valid STCW certifications and all required seafarer documentation.
